Privacy Policy — Delivery Date Estimator

This Privacy Policy explains how Delivery Date Estimator (the “App”), developed by Angoorr Media, collects, uses, and protects information when you install and use our Shopify application. By installing the App, you agree to the terms described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Shop information

When you install the App, we collect:

· Your Shopify store domain (e.g. yourstore.myshopify.com)

· Your Shopify access token (used only to make API calls on your behalf)

· Store name and plan information (provided by Shopify during OAuth)

1.2 App configuration data

We store the settings you configure inside the App, including:

· Delivery zones and pincode lists you create or upload

· Widget layout preferences, colour settings, and display options

· Order cutoff times, COD settings, and blackout dates

· Product-level delivery overrides

· Your Google Maps API key (if you choose to enable live location)

1.3 Storefront usage data

When your customers use the delivery date widget on your storefront, we process:

· The pincode entered by the customer (used only to look up delivery dates)

· The Shopify store domain making the request

· Widget view counts (to track usage against your plan limits)

We do not collect, store, or process your customers’ names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any personal identifiable information (PII).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected solely to:

· Provide the core functionality of the App — calculating and displaying delivery dates

· Store and retrieve your App configuration settings

· Track widget view counts against your plan’s monthly limit

· Send you important notices about the App (service updates, billing, outages)

· Improve the App based on aggregate, anonymised usage patterns

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage & Security

3.1 Where your data is stored

App configuration data and pincode zone information is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway (railway.app). Railway uses industry-standard security practices and stores data in the United States.

3.2 How long we keep your data

· Your App settings and zone data are retained as long as your App is installed

· When you uninstall the App, we delete your store data within 30 days

· Pincode lookup logs (if any) are not retained beyond the current session

3.3 Security measures

· All API communication between your storefront and our backend uses HTTPS encryption

· Shopify access tokens are stored encrypted and never exposed in client-side code

· Our Railway backend is protected by environment-variable secrets

As a merchant using our App, you have the right to:

· Access all data we hold about your store at any time by contacting us

· Request correction of any inaccurate data

· Request deletion of all your store data — we will action this within 30 days

· Uninstall the App at any time; your store data will be deleted within 30 days of uninstall

6. Your Customers’ Rights

The delivery date widget on your storefront processes only the pincode entered by your customer. We do not store customer pincodes beyond the duration of a single lookup request. Your customers’ data is not retained by our App.

If your customers have questions about how their data is used on your storefront, they should refer to your store’s own privacy policy.

7. Cookies & Tracking

The Delivery Date Estimator App does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or any client-side analytics on your storefront. The widget operates purely via API calls to our backend.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is designed for use by merchants (businesses) and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and notify you via the email address associated with your Shopify Partner account if the changes are material.

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
